WhatsApp has released a new feature ‘Chat Lock’ for its users. By using this feature, users can lock or hide the chatbox they want. If you don’t want others to see one of your chats, you can lock that chat. You can open the locked chat using your password or your biometric unlock feature.
If the notification of the locked chat does not come, it goes to a separate folder. For this, open the chat you want to lock and click on the profile at the top of the screen.
After this, click on the option called ‘Chat Lock’ in the options available there. After doing this, your chat will be locked and will go to the folder called locked chats.
In this way, to view the locked chats, as soon as you open WhatsApp, scroll down the screen a little and you will see a folder called ‘Locked Chats’ at the top of the screen. You can open the locked chat by going inside that folder.
The company has introduced this feature keeping in mind the user’s privacy. With the new update of WhatsApp, this feature will also be available to all users.
